  FIPMA's objectives and main Areas of Action are as follows:
Within the Community
• Foster the use of plastics and educate about their influence on the environment
• Contribute with measures that improve the quality of life
• Boost the promotion and development of plastic products
• Express and show the commitment towards the environment, as a legacy to future generations
• Reconcile the preservation of the environment with economic development
• Preserving the environment as a main concern
Within Institutions and with Individuals
• Provide information on the current legislation related to plastic waste
• Research new law drafts and analyze their contents
• Exchange ideas with lawmakers, whenever necessary
• Design publications for professionals, teachers, and students
• Promote awareness campaigns on the recovery of plastic waste
• Promote relationships with universities, and technical and scientific institutions
• Provide information to its members and other citizens.
• Show and circulate the laws enforced in First World countries related to plastic waste
